134 Court Street will Ring in the New Year with new property owners. The Galerie Events team will host all scheduled 2024 onsite weddings.

VERSAILLES, KY - The 100-year-old property at 134 Court Street, an unmistakable landmark in the cityscape of Downtown Versailles with its iconic white steeple, will ring in the New Year with a new era of ownership.

The beloved building and grounds in the heart of Historic Downtown, widely recognized as “The Galerie, Versailles Historic Venue”, will transfer ownership from Kite Riddle Holdings, who purchased the property in 2018, to the recently formed Versailles-based Wesley Covenant Fellowship [WCF] congregation as of December 22, 2023.

The venue, which has been operated by “The Galerie Events” since the 2018 renovation, is considered one of Central Kentucky’s premier wedding destinations, and is the recipient of several accolades including “Best Wedding Venue” by the Herald-Leader’s Best of Lexington Gold in 2022 and Silver in 2023, in addition to notable features in Kentucky Bride, Bridal Bliss, Tops in Lex, Rock n’ Roll Bride, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Southern Bride.

The purchase is an ideal next step for WCF who were looking for a permanent space to anchor their growing ministry in Woodford County. The congregation includes many members with deep roots in Versailles, several of whom have called this historic property on Court Street home for generations. WCF will host their first service as the new owners this Christmas Eve.

The Galerie Events, LLC (an event planning and hospitality company) will be excluded from the purchase agreement and shall continue operations {services include management of all scheduled 2024 weddings at The Galerie, off-site wedding/event planning, and hospitality consulting}. Updates for new services are expected in Q1'24.

Please note the 2024 wedding calendar at 134 Court Street is fully booked, and no future weddings will be scheduled for the location at this time.
